2017-2018 PTA Executive Board Bios

Jennifer Loeffler, President

Jenn Loeffler has served on the PTA Executive Board at Dilworth for two years as VP of Parent and Student Support and VP of Fundraising.  Jenn has co-chaired New Families, Mother/Son Bowling, and Career Day. She has also served as the co-chair of Outreach Committee, a weekly classroom volunteer, and a room parent for three years. She has volunteered at the Book Fair, Beginner’s Day, Field Day, Career Day, Prospective Parent Open House, and many other Dilworth events. Jenn chairs the Board and Parent Council at her youngest child’s preschool.  Jenn will have a third grader and a first grader in the fall as well as one future Dragon still in preschool.

Sara Weiers, VP of Staff Support and President Elect

Sara Weiers has served on the Executive Board for two consecutive years, first as the VP of Staff Support, and then as Secretary.  She has chaired the Office Support Committee for three years.  She volunteers weekly in the office assisting the Administrative Staff.  She has served on the School Counseling Advisory Committee for two years. She helped create the Career Day Committee and co-chaired it’s first year.  She trains the Flag and Safety Patrol in proper flag etiquette and care.  In addition, she has co-chaired Book Fair Committee and volunteered for Beginner’s Day, InReach, Art Support, Spring Art Showcase, DragonFest, Field Day, and Beautification Committee.  Sara will have a 5th grader and 3rd grader at Dilworth in the Fall.

Tammy Jones, Past President

Tammy Jones has served on the PTA Executive board for 3 years as VP of Marketing and Communications, VP of Fundraising and President. She has co-chaired both the Spirit Wear and Yearbook committees. She enjoys mentoring through the Learning Buddies Program and regularly volunteers in the media center. Her favorite events to volunteer at include Field Day, the Book Fair, and Beginner’s Day. Tammy will have a 5th grader at Dilworth next year.

Jennifer Saxton, Treasurer

Jennifer Saxton is going into her third year as a Dilworth family.  She has volunteered on several committees to include SPARK, Book Fair and Dragonfest, and serves as a room parent and weekly volunteer in the classroom.  Jennifer also remains active in her younger child’s preschool program, helping lead their annual fundraising event for the past three years. Jennifer will have a 2nd grader and rising Kindergartener at Dilworth and one younger child still in preschool in the Fall.

 Jenny Morton, Financial Secretary

Jenny Morton is in her 3rd year at Dilworth. She is currently chairing the Student Recognition committee and is actively involved in the kindergarten classroom. In the past she has chaired the New Parents Committee and been involved with many Dilworth committees including Dragon Fest, Book Fair, Media Center, Field Day, Beginners Day and Dilworth Open House. Jenny will have a 1st grader and a 3rd grader at Dilworth this Fall as well as a daughter in TK.

Torey Parsons, VP of Fundraising 

Torey Parsons has been a parent and volunteer at Dilworth for the past four years. She has served as a co-chair for SPARK for the past two years and a co-chair for the Spring Art Showcase for the past three years.  She has also enjoyed volunteering for other committees including DragonFest, Field Day, Book Fair, Beginner’s Day and has been actively involved in the classroom as a Room Parent, Media Center support and helping with literacy rotations.  Torey will have a 3rd grader at Dilworth in the fall and also has a 5th grader that is graduating from Dilworth this spring.

Jessica Stanfield, VP Marketing

Jessica Stanfield has been a parent and volunteer at Dilworth for the past five years.   She is currently serving as the VP of Marketing for this school year.  She tutors weekly through the Learning Buddies program.   She co-chaired the Parent Party and hosted the New Family Party in 2015-2016.  She served on the Student Recognition committee for two years.  She also teaches Character Ed and has volunteered in the Media Center.  Next year her daughter, Reese, will be a 4th grader and her son, Robert, will move onto AG as a 6th grader.

Kim Walsh, VP of Parent and Student Support

Kim Walsh and her family relocated to Charlotte in 2016. Since then, she has served as a classroom volunteer, third grade room parent, and co-chair of the Yearbook Committee. This fall, Kim will have a kindergartner, second grader, and fourth grader at Dilworth.

Samantha Foodman, Secretary

Samantha Foodman has been a parent and volunteer at Dilworth Elementary for 5 years.  During her first year, she co-chaired Field Day, after which she co-chaired the Book Fair. The following year, she began giving tours for the school and chaired that position for two years.  She is the co-chair of the Prospective Parents committee which oversees Open House and Beginner’s Day.  Additionally, she has been a room parent each year and enjoys volunteering in the classroom and chaperoning field trips.  Samantha has 3 children at Dilworth. Her twins, Jack and Parker, will be in 5th grade next year and Asher will be in 2nd grade.
