Preparing for Kindergarten
REGISTER YOUR CHILD – If you have not done so already, please register your soon-to-be Dragon for the 2020-2021 school year! If your child is not officially registered for school with CMS, you are not on our mailing or email distribution list and will miss out on exciting and important information about our school. If you need help or have any questions, please call the school office at 980-343-5826 Monday to Friday during regular school hours. Phones are still being answered by our wonderful staff. We look forward to connecting with each of our new Dragons soon!
ORDER SCHOOL SUPPLIES – Order your 2020-2021 school supplies now through Mid-July online at https://sproutsupplies.com/school-supply-kits and enter DES001. (Choose your child’s grade level for next year.)
Your child’s supply kit includes the exact teacher requested supplies and ships directly to the school before the first day of class! Supply kits will be delivered to both Latta and Sedgefield campuses.
PARTICIPATE IN SPARK – SPARK is our summer program for students to track hours spent reading/being read to, practicing arithmetic, or doing other academic-related activities. At the beginning of the school year, students celebrate their participation in the program with a fun assembly. The more hours students log, the more chances they have to win one of the many prizes awarded at the assembly. While the SPARK program is an important PTA fundraiser, you don’t have to contribute financially to participate. Visit the SPARK page and print a tally sheet to log your student’s hours this summer. They will turn in their forms when they return to school in the fall. Information on the SPARK program can be found on the PTA website – https://dilworthpta.org/fundraising/spark/.
STAY CONNECTED – Sign up for our weekly e-newsletter, Dragon Dispatch, and like our Facebook page to hear the latest school and PTA news. You can sign up for the newsletter on the Dilworth PTA homepage.
Rising Kindergartner School Registration
We are still registering students while CMS physical locations are closed. Do you have a sibling in your family that will be a kindergartner in 2020-2021? Do you have a child who will be new to Dilworth? Please register your student for school as soon as possible. CMS bases initial teacher allotments for the 2020-2021 school year on the number of students we have registered in the spring. While the school buildings are closed, registration forms and paperwork can be emailed to Katherine Harper (firstname.lastname@example.org). Please email Katherine or call 980-343-5826 if you need forms or if you have any questions. Thank you!
